Overload
As often happens after a week of dire drudgery at the factory I am compelled to gorge my way through a cooked breakfast of extraordinary magnitude. This Saturday morning was such an occasion. I prepared the banquet myself right here in the salubrious surroundings of Pictland's answer to River Cottage.
On the grill was the black pudding slices (2), pork sausages (2), fruit pudding (2) combo while I set about frying up some wholesome mushrooms. Then it was down to some bacon (2), and potato scone and a finale with two fried eggs and a pan of baked beans gently warming in the background. The only spoiler to this otherwise perfect ritual...forgetting to put the toast on. I concentrated in preparing some strong tea to put the finishing touch to this fat rich, heart bursting plate of delight.
Sources of the items were, black puddings (Tesco), pork sausages (Tesco), fruit pudding (Co-op), mushrooms (Co-op), bacon (Tesco), potato scone (Co-op) and eggs (Tesco) with baked beans (HP, local grocer shop).
Disclaimer: No harm was done to any breakfast products during the making of this morning feast, all parts were handled in a humane way and consumed in short order.

Ahh!!!!!!!!!! Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall would be proud of your bountyfull and hearty breakfast, had you foraged around the countryside for wild mushrooms and riverside spinach, and organic fruit pudding.etc,
Your breakfast sounds wonderful,
It is good to see you back again, and eating a wholesome breakfast, but where is Toastboy,Plum tomato and Milk, I thought on this cold mornings they would be consuming large quantities of freshly cooked breakfasts.
Forgetting to put on the toast is all part of the breakfast making experience.
