October Breakfast Update
Given the woeful lack of updates on this alter of breakfast worship and the current standard of British television on a Monday morning (Jeremy Kyle, Trisha Goddard and for those 'blessed' by the digital age - Rockford Files on ITV3) I have been forced to submit this update for regular readership of one and a half:
Yesterday being of a bored disposition and the fact that I needed a pint of milk I made my way to the local Wetherspoon for their 'Scottish Breakfast'. This sets you back a reasonable £3.68 including a mug of tea. The plate is lorne sausage, black pudding, fried egg, plenty of bacon, tattie scone. For those thrillseekers® who want the heart busting version there is a Scottish Farmhouse alternative which delivers double the quantity at just over £5 including tea and toast.
The black pudding was tops as was the fried egg and bacon. Crispy bacon - tasty! The lorne was a bit flaccid and might have been better but I reckon it was on the flame too long.
